Hammer's Future Bright
Old fashioned striker Marlon Harewood has been rewarded for findin' the back of the 'ol onion bag sixteen times last season. He's inked an improved contract that expires in 2010, claiming "'The future is looking good here and I want to be part of it. This is a great club with a great bunch of lads and a great team spirit that I want to remain involved in." Although West Ham currently has six strikers, the services of Harewood have been duely noted and secured for seasons to come. My favorite EPL player Yossi "The Diamond" Benayoun revealed tuesday that he has also inked a new five year contract. I like to call him "Hatikvah" which doubles in meaning; Israel's national anthem or simply "The Hope." Harewood will be on the recieving end of Yossi's fabled spoon passes for a while longer. Albiet rumors that West Ham are the subject of a takeover bid, their future is ensured in this fans eyes.
